what is the difference between mass and weight

mass = amount of matter in a body
weight = mass x gravitational force

Your mass wont change on different planets

Your weight would change on different planets though because
gravitational force exerted on you is different on different planets.

Thus, weight = mass x gravitational force
or
weight = m g
