modal overlay appears mat-menu item

Use of the backdropClass has a side effect. If the user click on a use case
i.e. mat-menu item, clicks on it using using devTools arrow, clicks off, and then back on it, the backdrop overlay
covers the screen. This can cause problems ov overlay clicked in functional tests. In
this case, use alternative.
